Mr. Magoo is really ready to start swimming on his own. |

Welcome to our new "back yard"!! Just a few minutes down the road is this beach. There is a reef a few hundred feet away, so it breaks the waves before they get to shore, making it a PERFECT place to play and help the boys feel secure in the ocean. Hudson was VERY unsure of what he called the "deep water" and spent the first 20 minutes just crying on the sand. Eventually Grandma just picked him up and got him in. From then on, it was, "I'm not scared anymore." By the end of the afternoon he was floating on his own. So proud of my big boy Hud!

Grandma and the baby girl. |
Hadley was a little unsure of the water. When you put her feet in she would holler in her high pitched baby girl wail. She may take a little getting used to it!

It will take some time to get into the routine of "going to the beach." I need to figure out a way to pack it all and keep it packed so that we don't spend more time getting ready than we do actually being AT the beach! Also, we need to get a car that will fit all of the Honeycutt's plus Grandma. Cutter rode in the back of the Mazda, shouting directions to me from the trunk. Safe? Not really. Effective and memorable? Well, yes. Regardless of HOW we all get to the beach, I have a feeling we will be spending many more afternoons there. Beach babies for sure.
