1.6.14

Sugar Plum, today's memory is yours.  After naps today you were in the kitchen getting a snack.  You heard Hadley girl on the baby monitor and ASKED (yeah, you read that right!) if you could go get her up.  Despite my uncertainty of what this would entail, given you are unable to actually carry here, I said yes.  My hands were messy from dinner prep and I figured at a minimum you would buy me a few extra minutes to chop veggies.
Next thing I know I hear a loud "ROAAAARRRR!" over the baby monitor.  Sure enough, you busted into that baby's room and scared the daylights out of your mom in the kitchen, but sent that sister of yours into giggle fits.  From the sounds of it you went in and out of her room several times over the course of the next 15 minutes, sneaking in and yelling "boo" or "roar" and making her laugh.  Big belly baby laughs.  It was hysterical.
I was almost able to get all the dinner veggies cut up before you tired of the game and made your way back downstairs, thankfully without trying to carry the baby down with you.  When I went up to get Hadley I found her in a crib full of carefully selected baby toys you shared with her.  You created a baby paradise with soft blankies, blocks, stuffed animals and even her sound and stars sleep machine, all for your little sister.  And all on your own.  Without being asked.  What a big brother you are.
Memory, cherished.
