The kids and I experienced our first ever tropical storm. Her name was Flossie. Almost all of Hickam was released from work early to get their yards picked up and items tied down. She was supposed to be quite the storm. She wasn't. Flossie was lame, at least for Oahu. A couple islands had some strong winds and flooding. Just not here.
We did get a little bit of rain though. Of course our boys took full advantage of it:

It was so humid out, I couldn't get a picture without my camera lens fogging up. |

He was using some packing material as a boat. I couldn't get a picture of it, because it kept floating away!

I wish we had a better storm story. But, we don't. Maybe next time.
...afterthought... It was probably best that the kids first storm wasn't a doozie. Hayden was having some pretty sever anxiety about the whole thing since it was all people were talking about for a couple days. None of us quite knew what to expect. This way, the kids can have a storm under their belt and feel more confident if another one happens to come along. Hmph, good point Ang. Thanks for breaking us in gently Flossie. We appreciate that!
