The list of things Hudson has created with tape in the past couple months is extensive. In fact, he has gone through so much tape recently that I bought him a few rolls for Valentines Day. A gift that spoke directly to his heart.
Today, the tape became a pair of shoes. He spent over an hour decorating baby wipes with glitter glue. He fiddled with them so long that the wipes became completely dried out. So dry he was able to affix them to his feet with tape. They became "taped on shoes." A spin off of Flint's spray on shoe invention from Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. (Thanks Uncle Jo and Brittany for the movie!) The shoes stayed on for quite awhile... well, until we went outside to walk the dogs. And then my little man was genuinely surprised that they were not durable enough to withstand sidewalk exposure. Poor guy.
He decided then it was time to spend more time working on his invention. Unfortunately he was distracted by snack time and never got back to it. I am certain this is not the end of this particular endeavor though. Especially considering that on several occasions today he had me "ask Google" if spray on shoes have actually been invented yet. Google didn't reveal any pending spray on shoes patents but I am certain ff anyone can make it happen... it'll be him.
