#1. I am thankful for my baby girl's laugh. Her feet are ticklish. She thinks her brothers are hysterical. She laughs when she tries to tear my face off while nursing. She giggles while she is talking to her mirror in bed. She laughs and her face lights up, the room gets brighter, and my heart takes flight. She is my reminder that God has never given me more than He can't handle. He gave me Hadley because He knew our family needed a happy, joyful and easy going heart. Hadley came to make sure we wouldn't stop laughing, no matter how big the burden. Hadley came to offset the weight on my shoulders. Hadley's laugh makes me want to laugh, even when I don't feel like laughing. For that, I am thankful.

Starting at #1
A wise friend told me recently that sometimes, when counting blessings, it is okay to start again at number one. She was right (as usual). My biggest blessings are the most obvious ones, the ones I take for granted. The blessings that should top my list, are the blessings that far too often I forget to give thanks for. So, in honor of November, the month of Thanksgiving I am starting at #1, posting a whole month of blessings that have been hiding in the realm of the obvious.
