Hale Koa Hotel Outing (otherwise known as pretending we are vacationers for two hours)

We finally made it to the military hotel.  Hale Koa Hotel is located right in the middle of Waikiki and is a popular vacation destination for military personnel and their families.  http://www.halekoa.com/
Neighbor B told us awhile back that military have access to the pool any time.  We clarified this with his mom and after she confirmed, we decided to check it out.
What an amazing place to offer our service men and women!  Big Honeycutt Bonus for getting to live by it and use it for free!   (When we feel so inclined to battle the traffic to actually get to Waikiki... but that is a whole other blog post.)
It's the perfect place to pretend we are on vacation and without any cares in the world.  Except getting Hadley back home in time for bed.  (That baby loves to sleep and sleep ONLY in her crib, with her Ms. Marisa polka dot blanket, mirror and stuffed white and pink puppy from Grandma. Ah, my sweet Sweet Potato Pie Princess.)
I took some pics to share.  Oddly enough I managed to get NO pictures of the actual pool that we swam in and no good pics of the beautiful beach it over looks.  Guess that means you will have to come have a drink with us and see it for yourself...

You have to park in the parking garage across the street from the hotel.  It is just a short little walk though.

Hale Koa Hotel

The boys agreed that it felt like being at the resort in Mexico for Uncle Nate and Auntie JL's wedding.

BIG, awesome tree just hanging out in the middle of the Hotel.  At night the dangly branches light up.

There was a "Code Brown" right before we got to the pool, so we had to sit by the beach and eat icy desserts.  Bummer, huh?

Well, some of us drank our icy treats!  Oh Kahlua how I love you.

Baby girl was a fan...
of the straw people, she is just chewing on the straw! :)

Pool time.

This is the swim suit that Kella got Hadley for my baby shower.  It comes with an adorable, matching swim cap that unfortunately her head is way too big to wear.  I like to believe the big head is to accommodate her super huge head that is going to help her become the doctor that she is destined to be.  Big dreams baby girl, big dreams!

Another cool group of trees right by the pool area.

Popular wedding spot.  We saw four brides through out the hotel premises.  I took this not so great pic because I think these dresses are similar to the color my bros fiance is thinking about.  Brittany??

Picture for my mom, the lover of all things in bloom.

The tree lit up and Hayden lit up too, apparently.

This one was an "oops" shot.  But I thought it provided good documentation of the drool that is now standard on her poor, always soggy chin.  When will those baby teeth make their appearance Hadley?

Those flowers were a lot cooler in person.

This was a picture Hayden requested.  He was all strike a pose and vogue.
A super big bonus today was my FAR TOO BRIEF chat with an old school bestie who just announced her engagement to a pretty stellar man!  You know who you are.  You know that I love you and could not be happier for you.  As long as he understands I will always be your B1.  XOXO
